Had the same problem with the program asking for the original disk. Is there a fix included with the download?

doesn't work. says please insert original game disk 1 even when you write a perfect copy of the .image with disk copy. guess you need the original floppy to play this. I own it on cd with the kings quest collection but not on floppy. old sierra just ain't the same without the black and white Tongue

the sierra help pages has information on how this odd copy write protection from the 80's didn't let people back up their disks and use them again so they released a patch for one of the windows versions but the sierra help pages doesn't have anything on them about mac anymore so out of luck. guess I'm going to have to play my kings quest collection version in dosbox with a setting that makes it look like b&w

You can't do anything with out dying, and the game laughing in your face.
It even quits the game if you try and kill a monk.
Saying "Anyone who'd kill a man of the cloth, doesn't deserve to play this game, therefore we shall end it."
