If the Compatibility/Architecture area is right, the game comes with 68k and PowerPC code. If it had 68k only, it would be run slower on PPC machines because of some kind of emulation. If you run NativeChecker, you could check yourself whether the game contains both or 68k only.
This game is very slow on my Mac Performa 6116 without the Sonnet Nubus G3 drivers installed. Why is that? Is there also a powerpc version? For instance Space Quest 6 has two versions, one for 68k and one for powerpc. The same with Police Quest 4. Very slow without sonnet drivers and like a dream with the drivers installed.
Yeah, I downloaded twice, and it doesn't recognize the file, and with Stuffit it downloads it, but then it immediately disappears. I'm usually pretty good at outsmarting or "tricking" the computer, but alas, not this time.
My first attempt to zip this file (which is the current mirrored one, also on the internal server), makes it 225 MB, but my later stuffing with Stuffit ("older file format") makes it 198 MB (not available yet).
Anyone know when this will be available again? I can't wait to play this again!! Ahhh childhood memories haa
Any idea when this might become available again? I'm here specifically for this game.
