Myst for the Macintosh. The first D/L at top-right is the exact CD image with exception of the removal of the "How Myst was made" movie and player. Enjoy!
Myst, the surrealistic adventure that becomes your world, offers a first-person perspective, stunning 3-D photorealistic graphics and an original sound track as players seek to untangle a web of deceit. Macintosh Multimedia & Product Registry Volume 9, No.4 - 1996
myst-mac-ja.zip is a zip-compressed ISO CD-ROM image of the Japanese version of Myst (version 1.0J).
The game's artwork, which was rendered in Strata Vision3D 4.0, also appeared in the Myst Screen Saver.

Mediafire has a warning now that multipart uploads aren't allowed with their free service. Is there anywhere else this can be hosted?
For anyone looking for the Myst Hints stack, I uploaded it here a little while ago: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/myst-hints
The ipod touch version is pretty decent
Changed my f'ing life so much. Can't even begin to describe how much this game/series has influenced me. Godlike masterpiece of gaming history. I think if I ever had to choose just a single game in my entire life that would be the greatest.... this would probably be it.
Thank you,
I finally got it to work, tough I use a different approach.
Euryale, just brun it with toast.... To do this drag the disk image file to the toast app and click the big red burn button, toast will sort everything out for you!
Once again, Would someone tell me how to put this game onto a CD?
I tried to open it the img file using Disk Copy, but it doesnt do anything
Thank You,
Spent 5 hours looking for it through Google, my BMUG PD-ROMs, my EduCorp HyperCard stacks cd-roms, etc. Nowhere has it. I can find mentions and get the exact filename from info-mac digests from 1994, but can't find the file. It was built very similar to the UHS (Universal Hint System) web hints: http://www.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/myst.php.
I know I have it somewhere on an old magaize cover cd-rom (but I have thousands) because I had the hints before I ever had dial-up internet access. At least I can start with the free cover floppies, which I have imaged on disk.
Must be sitted at least (.sit), but it's preferred to put it onto a Disk Copy (*.img) file, then sit.
Somewhere I must have the official hints stack (requires HyperCard) that helps understand and solve the game. Shame it's not one of the preferred doc formats.
Does this include the Mechanical Age fix ? And the v1.01 upadtes for all the ages and the app ? Both are (together) only a 100K donload from info-mac archive, but I didn't want to download 400MB to try to find out.
The info-mac archive used to have my Myst Hints stack, but there's only a german version there now, I'm hoping it's on one of my BMUG cd's - now there's an enormous source of old sofware / shareware and everything else you could imagine.
Hello, How do You copy this game onto a CD and make it work?
I downloaded it already.
great work
That's a very long time.
I should start uploading KQ7 and SQ6, which are also so big.
Lol yeah so do my uploads.... Hard game to figure out if you have never ever played Myst, takes awhile to get into.. even years.
Hope everyone enjoys the upload - it took over two hours to complete uploading!
