keith_r25,
Next time, try Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility. It is a killer-app, a tiny, supremely useful program!

I'm new to the iMac line, but this is what I had to do to make the CD work. I had no way to write CD's on my G3.

Used a stuffit expander on my pc. (used the one on my imac, and it expanded, but it couldn't use the file in .cdr format)
File expanded to "Wizardry_Gold.cdr"
Renamed the file "Wizardry_Gold.iso" and used an iso burner on my pc.

The G3 could then read the cd. After installing the intro "stutters" on the sound but it clears up or you can "esc" out.

@onijim: OS 8.2 is beta, and shouldn't be used (is buggy). Unless you meant 9.2, I suggest either 8.5.1/8.6 or 8.1.

Its really buggy on my Performa running OS8.2. The recommended extensions list and pressing ESC while the game is loading (as the readme suggests) allows me to get through character creation but it always crashes upon trying to start a new game.

Downgraded from Quicktime 2.5 to Quicktime 2.1 with the same results. I'm guessing its either my OS version or just the game itself.

I can' t get it to run in SheepShaver. It comes with "The application was unable to start due to an error. Please contact customer support."

Please, someone check this in SheepShaver, too.
