Dropbox in OS 9 (workarounds)

I want to access files in my Dropbox account in OS 9 - interested in your workarounds - I know there are very smart & clever folk here - plus would be cool (and useful from time to time) I think - what I KNOW works:

access via partition (Tiger or Leopard) - boring ....

VPC with Windows 2000 (i.e. access thru shared folder)- works but obviously kinda slow...

what I WISHED worked - Classilla access via Dropbox website/account (seems to be a Javascript issue) - haven't tried other browsers yet (iCab?)

wondering also about download/links - if I know my Dropbox ID/number, is the path to files a pre-defined name/path?

I was able to access Dropbox with iCab 4.9, but the path to a file stored there appears is in this format: "https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get//the.name.of.the.file.version number.extension?w=your unique user id key for that browser session"

Ok - more success (kind of...)

found an app called "Bloodrop" - (http://code.google.com/p/bloodrop/) - the way it works is, you drop a file on its dock icon and it puts the file in your Dropbox folder and the URL on your clipboard - what's important here is the URL (especially your user ID!!) - it is the path to the file (not a link) - the URL was as follows:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/usernumber/filename.extension

using this formula in OS 9 with Classilla I downloaded a file; the second file I tried was a PDF which open with Acrobat (in Classilla)

the drawback of course is you have to know the name of the file you're after (spaces = %20) - even so I consider this a minor victory - I think if you follow a disciplined naming convention and keep the URL stored (text file or bookmark) you should have access to any file in your account from OS 9 - cool ....

Ubuntu One - logged into my account and downloaded a file from Classilla in OS9 - and now that Ubuntu One is in beta for Mac I think (if I really wanted to) I could sync my entire Dropbox folder into an Ubuntu One folder - don't think I can find a much better workaround than that.

Old thread , i know.
But this is how i do it : on my MacMini server i activate the Apache server, then add my Dropbox folder to the ~sites folder. can be done with a symlink, just activate the option in Apache.
any OS 7-8-9 Mac on the network access the files through a web browser.
