Free to a good home... (Toronto/GTA) pick up

Spotted this post made today 3:21 am EST in the newsgroup: comp.sys.mac.vintage by David Stone - email: dstone AT chem DOT utoronto DOT ca

As a result of a desperately overdue office clean-up, the following
are available FREE to anyone willing to come and collect (Toronto/GTA)
It's either that or the dumpster!

Books:

  • Inside Macintosh I, II, and IV-VI plus X-Ref
  • ResEdit and MacsBug user guides
  • Macintosh programming primer
  • Macintosh C programming Primer
  • Debugging Macintosh software with MacsBug

Hardware:

  • Mac SE with soft carry case
  • LC II
  • LC III
  • LC 475
  • Apple 12" RGB
  • Multiple apple keyboards & mice, most variants
  • Rat's nest of SCSI, video, and power cables

There may be assorted 2D and HD floppies (including software)
as well, but I have to sort through those...

email dstone at chem dot utoronto dot ca...

David made this followup additional post:

Follow-up:

  • Various versions of Think C, Think Reference, Sym. C/C++
  • Resedit, Macsbug, drivers, ...
  • System 6 and 7 floppies
  • A variety of other applications for 68k macs

There's some gold in here for those lucky enough to be living in Toronto, CA Laughing out loud

Is anyone on this? I live in Toronto but I have no room in my tiny apartment to put any more stuff. My point is that if there are any Macintosh Garden collectors in the GTA, I have a couple of old laptops (and games) that I would gladly give to someone rather than deal with Craigslist scumbag lowballers. Let me know and we can exchange e-mails.

Ah well, not everyone is perfect. Least of all politicians Wink

Still wondering if anyone here (and living in Toronto) has acted on this? Anyone helped you out as well, Hugh?

No takers yet. Perhaps, to avoid confusion, I should clarify what I am offering. A powerbook 3400, clamshell ibook 300 mhz, with one power adapter to share between them, an emac 1ghz., *maybe* a g3 powerbook PDQ (but i love the display so maybe not). A g3 ibook 500mhz with a fussy dc input. simcity 2000, v for victory and warlords in boxes with floppy disks, manuals etc. They're not in mint condition;Simcity is missing the front box art). Pick up only. I just want them gone quickly and easily to someone who appreciates this stuff.

Heck. I would take all of the above, yours & Davids. Perhaps its just as well I'm living in Australia & not living in Canada Wink

I would love to own the 3400 (& the PDQ).
