I'm looking to run a few PC games on my Mac OS 9 computer, preferably DOS. I think 1997's RealPC would do the trick, but I can't find it on the archive. Any help on here, or am I out of luck?

VPC, if Abandonware(?), is a killer under OS 9. With a bit of cunning manipulating you could trick the Mac to run the VPC App as Finder ie all horses on one carriage! And you got partial USB support, real Floppy if you got a drive connected to the Mac and full Network.

I was kind of hoping I'd get something newer than SoftPC. RealPC can at least play DOS games of the 1990s. And Virtual PC is not available on the Mac Garden.

Awesome. VPC 5 (http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/connectix-virtual-pc-50504) should run fairly well with my iMac G3 (I shouldn't push it though). Once I get everything up and running, I will install MS-DOS games. Probably end of December.

OK, I downloaded VPC 5. Now, where can I get the latest (mid-1990s) version of MS-DOS...
Alternative Two is to use a copy of SoftWindows 2.0 I found at my house and get Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS 6 (which comes included). Alright, then. That's what I'll do. But I'll keep a lookout for newer OSs.

Wow, can you make the install disk images of SoftWindows 2.0 and upload to Mac Garden?

I used RealPC for many years, First on my Performa 6360 with a G3 300 card in it, then on a PowerMac G4 400 (AGP model) tower. It was pretty much always unbearably slow in Windows, but DOS games ran great.
I'd recommend VirtualPC over it any day.
