Looking for games by Great Wave Software

Number Maze, Reading Maze, Reading Mansion. All these and more. They're nowhere to be found today but were popular in their time.

I think some have been mentioned on this site before, but nowhere I've looked has anyone posted any of them.
The ones I'm looking for in particular are the parts of their "Maze" series.
The ones I know exist but can't find are:
Number Maze - A game that had you traverse a maze as a horse or a few others, collecting keys or books, and solving math problems to destroy barriers in your path such as stone walls. The whole thing was done in a castle though it was a little hard to tell since you were only given an overhead shot of the maze (when you weren't solving math problems to destroy walls). After reaching the end of the maze you would see a throne room to which treasures and the like would be added after repeated runs through the maze. The game was commonly seen on library and school computers. It ran on Mac 7, if I remember correctly.
Fraction & Decimal Maze - Like number maze, but instead of a castle it took place in a hedge maze. Instead of a throne room there was an attic to a house at the end of the maze. The gameplay for both number maze and Fraction & Decimal Maze were roughly the same. It also likely ran on Mac 7, since I recall the computer running it to be running At Ease (safe multiple user interface, you can find it here on this site) as well.

Wikipedia has an article on Great Wave Software that lists other games I didn't list here. Most of them don't seem to be here at Macintosh Garden or anywhere else.

Trying to track down and get these games is what led me to this site in the first place. These games are my fondest childhood memory and I would love to be able to play them again (And finish them this time!).

Does anyone have any of them? Does anyone know where to get them?

Oops, turns out the name of the second game is "Decimal & Fraction Maze". And a description for both games can be found in SuperKids Software Reviews. Hope this info helps someone find them and post them.

I am also looking for Number Maze. Lemme know if you find it, as I haven't had any luck yet.

Interesting note: Great Wave Software used to be within 20 minutes walking distance from where I live.

Well, I've managed to find Decimal & Fraction Maze. Location: http://www.smartkidssoftware.com/wdgws3.htm

The site sells educational software. Problem is the apparent price is $299. Worse, it's the windows version. But it's a start, and better than nothing at all. Perhaps the seller has some copies of the mac version they didn't think would sell?

I'm not certain what to do with this finding, but if anyone else has an idea be sure to post it.

Aha! Further investigation reveals they did have Number Maze & Reading Maze as well. Probably others too. But they're all sold out, according to the site anyway.

But this might not be a dead end yet. Perhaps they (smartkidssoftware) might know where we could get a copy of Number Maze and the rest. Who wants to be the one to start calling them about it? (They have a toll-free phone number). If anyone does, be sure to say so. I'd do it myself if I could, but I can't (much to my annoyance). Meantime, I'll keep looking for a copy that's a little more accessible.

I was a fan of Reading Maze! The levels were named after letters of the alphabet and there were 26-one for each letter of the alphabet. In higher levels, there was an elf who would teleport the player to another room, and the player knew where the elf was because on the maze map, a room would flash to let the player know where the elf was. What was the purpose of having an elf who transports the player to another room if the elf and the player are in the same room? And why did the elf have a pencil in his hand?

I think I have KidsMath and the non-Math version (forgot it was called).

I also have a Number Maze demo courtesy Software Dispatch.

You have a demo of Number Maze?! Cool! Could you maybe get some gameplay recordings of it? Some screenshots would probably help people remember the game and help in the search for the full version.

The non-Math version was called KidsTime Deluxe.

If anyone's still interested, I have the Talking NumberMaze version, which I've opened up brand new. Inside has a pamphlet of all Great Wave software that some of you might find useful. As of right now, I don't have a floppy drive (and am getting an external). I'll come back and report how things work out -- might even upload it!

This game is rare and you are very lucky to own a copy of this great classic game.

Could you at least scan the brochure? In the Software Dispatch CD, it mentions Decimal & Fraction Maze. I'd like to find out more about that.

Here's that scan. The brochure was big so it's in 2 parts:

I'll also be uploading the NumberMaze (non-talking, the floppy was dead) when I get it packed into a sit file

hey guys, any luck on uploading Number Maze, whether it be gameplay to YouTube or the game itself? I have literally been dying to see it for the last month. Uploading gameplay to YouTube would make my day, my month! Nostalgia'ing hard over this game.
