In reference to other threads, I agree that RapidShare is now almost unusable. I don't regard slow download speeds as an issue..you just wait long enough and learn to be patient. But not being able to download at all (albeit above 150 MB) without paying is another matter. My RapidShare account is up for renewal on 21st January. In view of the very limited usability that RapidShare now imposes, I have reluctantly decided not to renew the account when it is due, unless new mitigating information comes to light. As a consequence 275 GB of files on RS will disappear…not something I want, but if they are almost inaccessible anyway then it makes little difference. Obviously I will stop refreshing my links to files on RS as I have been doing over recent days. If anyone can give me good reasons not to take this course of action, then I am very open to persuasion. It is sad that it has come to this
. In due course, I will take out an account with another file server to receive my uploads (not sure which), but it will not be Mega as I want the files to be accessible to members who have older browsers. I will not be re-uploading my files on RS to my new account, apart from a few exceptions, so It is up to others to step up to the mark and make files of interest available. Here we go again...
