REQUEST: New SheepShaver for Windows (where you can select Power Macintosh machine)

I've tried every version of Windows-based SheepShaver BIOS setup and there was no machine type select. I would be very appreciated if I saw a Windows based SheepShaver, with BIOS where you can select a Power Macintosh machine type.

Don't know of one off-hand. Just to add, if you use an old world ROM, you could try the "I Wish" extension/CP to set the emulated Mac's gestalt number to a certain Mac model at boot up. "I Wish" is probably too old for new world ROMs but it could likely work with an old world ROM.
This utility isn't here at the garden either, but it shouldn't be too difficult to locate a copy. How SheepShaver will like it tho'...
[Edit] This utility is either called "I Wish" or "Wish I Was" or similar... my memory is fading bad. I'll have a quick look on the internets.

Got it, its called "Wish I Were..." Wink

It would be a nice feature but until it's added I've used "Wish I Were" for this purpose.

It's ID list is limited but the gestalt value is stored in the prefs file and can easily be set using ResEdit.

We know the following

PM9500 = 0000 0043
PM7500 = 0000 0044
PM8500 = 0000 0045
PM7200 = 0000 006C
PM5400 = 0000 ????
Performa 6400 = 0000 ????
PM6500 = 0000 ????
PM7600 = 0000 ????

You can find most of the IDs here. Just convert the ID from decimal to hex in Calculator.

So for the PM5400, the ID is 74. In hex that's 4A. So that's 0000 004A in the Wish I Were prefs.
