System 7.0.1 on 800k Floppys

Hi there. I am new to this forum and have a lovely as new Macintosh Plus. I was just wondering if anyone can upload System 7.0.1 on 800k Floppys? I am not even 100% sure if they were even ever released on 800k there seems to be conflicting information on the net about this. But if anyone can help me I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanking you in advance...

Thanks guys but it's really 7.0.1 that I was looking for as the general consensus is that 7.0.1 or 6.0.8 is the best OS for a Plus. I have 6.0.8 just looking for 7.0.1 now

I disagree with 7.0.1 being the better than 7.1 on the Plus. - I've found 7.1 to be quite stable & fast on 68000 CPU's. Its a much more mature OS compared to 7.0 - 7.0.1.

I think its interesting that there is an 800k install of 7.1 here, but despite what it says on the Garden page, the archive's disk images do not seem to be suitable for writing back to floppy media. They appear to be mountable by dropping the disk images into a running Mini vMac window only. So I think you would have problems getting them onto an actual Plus, anyway.

Pity about the lack of 800k 7.0.1 images out there. If you, or anyone else (myself included) finds these somewhere down the track, they must get archived here at the Garden, too.

Probably doesn't help but here are the floppy sets for 7.0 (800K), 7.0.1 (1.4MB) and 7.1 (1.4MB).
If you had the disk space I think you can install just by mounting all the virtual disks.

7.0 and 7.0.1 are still available from Apple but you need a modern browser to actually see the web page.

Just so you know, i just managed to convert those 7.1 .dsk images to diskcopy 4.2 images. I just added the set to sfp1954's post mentioned above.
