C: Use "Raw copy, data fork" and also uncheck "check for Apple double" if set.
Dragging the raw copy onto Stuffit Expander's icon to launch it once it gets to the Mac should see it unpack OK (as long as the .sit is compatible with the version of Stuffit Expander you're using).

AppleDouble is a file archiving format developed by Apple for storing Mac files on Unix platforms, primarily intended for A/UX back in the late 1980's to early 1990's. It never gained much support, as .BIN (MacBinary) & .HQX (Binhex 4) at the time proved to be the more common medium for file transfer.
Its rare, so in HFVExplorer, getting it to check for AppleDouble is likely a waste of time, esp. in regards to .sit files.

Can´t help repeating myself another time: 
If you have a PC with floppy drive, set up BasilikII Build 142 and copy your files to floppy with the MacOS.

Files downloaded with the host OS can be moved to the BII "HDD" via the shared volume.
Mac OS7.5 can read and write floppies as HFS or DOS.
HFS floppy auto mount is often not working, Ctrl-Shift-F11 forces a HFS floppy to mount.
If you choose to move files via non HFS filesystems use HQX for encoding.
If your files remain on HFS systems, deflation is not obligatory but useful for storage reasons.

Not surprised - if you mean that Stuffit Expander couldn't open the files. Most .sit files here have been compressed with Stuffit 5.5 or newer and will not work with earlier versions of Stuffit. You also cannot run Stuffit 5.5 on Mini vMac, so you get shafted twice.
Best to use Stuffit 5.5 on Basilisk II or SheepShaver for this.
