I just grabbed a Macintosh SE at the dump. It boots to the flashing question mark, but appears to have a hard drive installed (it has the light on the front panel?). I am in the process of re-acquiring a PC with a floppy drive, and I have two sealed boxes of twiggy double-sided disks.
The screen appears a bit dark, but I assume there is an adjustment pot somewhere inside. I don't have a Torq screwdriver, so opening this may be interesting
I also only have a keyboard, so navigating will be impossible. I *used to* have an adb mouse, but it was thrown out long ago (along with the floppy drives) grrrrr. I have a SCSI card, but no scsi-scsi cable, so I cannot even attempt to repair any hard drive on the PC side
By the time taken for the flashing question mark to appear, and the slowness of the flashing, leads me to believe there is a hard drive of some description inside...
time will tell.

but I guess they're work in progress. I dont have a power cable up here. I enjoy staring at things though!
